We’ll be warmly welcomed by members of the Throckmorton family, who have lived at Coughton since 1409. Their connection spans over 600 years, beginning with John de Throckmorton – Under Treasurer of England to Henry VI – who acquired the estate through his marriage to Eleanor de Spiney. Today, the house is still lived in by the family, with Mr Magnus Birch-Throckmorton and his family continuing to care for the house and the stunning gardens you’ll explore.
Stroll the grounds, uncover centuries of stories, and enjoy the peaceful setting before rounding off your visit with a delicious afternoon cream tea, included in your day.
