Depart Cheadle at 08:30 and enjoy a scenic journey through Bakewell, Matlock, Melton Mowbray, and Oakham, stopping in the beautiful Georgian town of Stamford for lunch.
Take to the streets lined with 17th- and 18th-century limestone buildings, medieval churches, and charming independent shops tucked down narrow passageways. Stamfords cinematic history includes appearances in Middlemarch, Pride and Prejudice, and The Crown.
After soaking up the towns heritage and riverside charm, we continue to Buckinghamshire, arriving at our 4-star boutique hotel in time for dinner and a restful evening.
Dinner is included.
Day Two Woburn Abbey or Cambridge
On day two we aim to visit Woburn Abbey and Gardens, recently closed for renovation and set to reopen in Summer 2026. Due to the late reopening date, however, we cannot guarantee our visit and therefore havent included the entrance price into the total price of the weekend.
Alternatively, we will visit the historic university city of Cambridge, where cobbled streets, iconic colleges, and riverside views make for a memorable day of discovery.
Breakfast and dinner are included.
Day Three Bletchley Park
After breakfast, we journey to Bletchley Park, the legendary home of World War II codebreakers. Spend around four hours exploring immersive exhibitions, interactive displays, and restored rooms that reveal the story of the brilliant minds and complex machines that shaped history. Learn how this secret operation impacted the outcome of WWII before we travel home, arriving in the early evening.
Breakfast is included.
